The sauna market is full of misleading marketing, inflated EMF claims, and reviews written by people who've never sat in the saunas they're recommending. We started SaunaVerdict to provide genuinely useful, research-backed guidance for people who want to add a sauna to their home — without getting burned by bad advice.
Our Methodology
Every sauna in our directory goes through a standardized evaluation process:
Hands-On Testing Where Possible
Our team has personally used saunas from Sunlighten, Clearlight, JNH Lifestyles, Almost Heaven, and many other major brands. Nothing beats direct experience.
Owner Survey & Review Analysis
For models we haven't tested directly, we aggregate verified buyer reviews from Amazon, the manufacturer's site, and independent forums — filtering for verified owners.
Spec Verification
We verify manufacturer specs against independent tests where available, particularly for EMF/ELF claims which are frequently exaggerated.
Long-Term Owner Feedback
We track owner satisfaction over time. A sauna that looks great in year 1 but falls apart in year 3 loses its recommendation.
Regular Updates
Our directory is updated monthly. Discontinued models are removed. New releases are added as we evaluate them.
